Orp Gets An MBA

Once again, Mountain Bike Action picks Orp as one of its top 10 mountain bike bellls and  it’s even better because it’s also a light.

The latest  Orps have a  new feature, Anti Bear Mode ( ABM) that  automatically strobes Orp’s friendly sound.  This way you keep your hands on the bars, and hopefully , off the bears..

O.O.O. = Out Of Orps!

Sad to report  e are sold out of Orps. We have been working with our breeding facility to birth and train more Orps for service to you.  That’s right, Orps are not conscripted. Orps inherently want to be with you on your bike. They want nothing more than to be with you on your commutes and bike adventures.  Always loquacious and bright eyed, Orps love to  chirp and roar at your request whether it’s a tail press or a REMORP fire.  The pandemic has certainly challenged the Orp supply chain and we are working through it.  Stay tuned and watch this space for an update.

The Review Smiths are Jonesing For Orp!

Super comprehensive review from this UK site that reviews  all sorts of gear. The Smith’s gave Orp 5  out of 5 stars. The only thing they  thought was negative was the fact that the REMORP  is sold separately . If they knew what effort we went to to make the REMORP, they”d apologize.

Overall though, thanks Review Smiths!

Orp named As A Top Trail Bell

Mountain Weekly News  just sent me a link to their story  on the top 5 Trail Bells and Orp is one of them!

The author sounds like he tested all the bells himself and  made special note that Orp is also a light and also said Orp’s sounds were “attantion getting”. I think he even used the new ANTI BEAR MODE or ABM for short.  I’m sure Orp saved him from being mauled.

You can see the full story hear, I mean here.

NEW ORPS ARE HEAR, I MEAN, HERE!

Finally after a long  gestation period,  new Orps have hatched. All these Orps have the latest software which includes Orp’s new more recognizable friendly sound ( …yeah, it’s a bell, but doubled to convey urgency  and it’s louder, too!), Anti Bear Mode (ABM) and a black lens caps to reduce the light bleed.

Of course, Orps come with all the existing great Orp features like the LEDs blaring whenever Orp’s  sounds are fired plus the Orp Power Kit. And,  for a limited time a fresh, new silk screened 4 color Orp Bear Sticker (while supplies last).  Free Shipping in the USA. Deafinitely (clever, right?!) a majorly good deal. Go to the Storp to get one today,

Here’s a video that demonstrates the new sound and ABM mode/

NEW ORPS ARE GETTING CLOSER!

We are now in the second round of testing (T2) with pre-production Orps from our new factory and if the T2 works as intended , we should have them hear, I mean, here. shortly. When I say “shortly” it’s likely a month or more. I’ve learned from experience the second I mention a date, we end up hitting a hiccup that causes a delay.

Meanwhile, here’s a video of a T2 sample undergoing  simulated weather testing. That blurry orange thing inside is an Orp.

ORPS ARE SOLD OUT

Due to some incredible international demand, we are plumb out of Orps.  Our breeding facility is in high gear to get more Orps hatched and mature enough to be your bright and loud handle bar perched copilots. We will most likely offer a  BUY NOW / GET LATER deal when the new Orps have completed training and we know they’re on the way.

Meanwhile, check back every once in a while as we’ll update the Orp status hear, I mean , here and don’t hesitate to get a REMORP for your other bike.

When it comes to safety, Orp has a Singletrack mind!

SingletrackWorld.com and  Singeltrack Magazine give Orp an awesome review in their latest issue.

Here’s the author’s sum-up:

“A brilliantly designed and manufactured product that works extremely well. Despite my initial misgivings, it has won me over and to be frank, I’m refusing to give it back!”

After a grueling 2 month test in some of the crappiest weather  in the world, that is, in the UK which is not unlike the gray slop we also get hear, I mean, here in Portland, Singletrack rider/writer, Sanny, said Orp was great. They really hit all the points of goodness that we here at Orp Industries try to stress.

Here are a few excerpts:

“…the 70db [76dB] sound does a pretty effective job of alerting other trail and road users to your presence while the “gnnnnrnrrrrhhhhh!” of the 96db sound is more than a match for headphones and on busy city streets when commuting. Combined with the flashing lights, I found the Horn to be particularly effective at dawn and dusk.”

“As for the light itself, running off a rechargeable LI-ion battery, I found it to be bright enough to get me home in the event of my main lights running out of juice. It’s not the brightest light on the market but as a commuter light, I reckon it is plenty bright enough and that it does indeed last the full three hours on constant as promised by the manufacturer.”

And , here’s what he said about th REMORP,

“I’ll be honest and initially wondered who would bother with a cable remote for a light on the bars but once I used it in traffic, I was totally sold on the idea. It may seem like no effort to flip the Horn but being able to do so with your hands firmly on the bars is a golden plated good thing in my book.”
